We started birding early in the morning at Bueng Boraphet (non-hunting area). The habitat was wetlands with a big lake. We took a big boat to wander around the lake. Many species of birds with their nests and eggs could be seen , such as Pheasant-tailed Jacana, Purple Swamphen, Bronze-winged Jacana and Baya Weaver. In the lake, we found Cotton Pygme-Goose, Lesser Whistling-Duck, Little Grebe, Little Cormorant, Oriental Darter, Spot-billed Pelican, Purple Heron, Black Bittern, Cinnamon Bittern and Yellow Bittern.
We went back for lunch and spent some time at a watching tower. It's very good place not far from the headquarter. Pied Kingfisher was always hovering around the tower. It's wonderful to see and take some photos of it from the same level. We started birding on the boat again in the afternoon and went to a small island that was the roosting area of some big species such as Asian Openbill, Glossy Ibis, Spot-billed Pelican, Oriental Darter, Cattle Egret, Great Egret, Black-crowned Night-Heron and many others.
On the way back, we saw many Oriental Pratincoles gliding over the water. Finally, we drove back to Bangkok before it's raining.
