31st May - 3rd June 2007 : Kaeng Krachan National Park at Phetchaburi Province
Kaeng Krachan National Park
Kaeng Krachan National Park

This time we went birding with our friends (13 persons from several parts of Thailand ) at Kaeng Krachan National Park in Phetchaburi Province. We're very lucky because there were no rain and not many tourists. We enjoyed our trip with our friends very much. Our activities included birding, eating, talking and etc.

Our target bird for this trip was Black-and-Red Broadbill. On the second day, we started birding early in the morning with a cup of tea/coffee and sandwiches in front of our sleeping place and the first bird we saw was Black-and-Red Broadbill ! We managed to take several photos and accomplished our target very quickly.

We went birding all day near the stream and we saw 3 Brown Hawk Owls perch ing on the same branch having a nap. Very lovely! We couldn't take a picture of the whole 3 owls in one frame by our digiscope because they're too close to us . On the next day, we drove up to the hilltop, where different species could be seen . Bird of the day of hilltop for everyone was Rufous-browed Flycatcher.
