RATTAPON  KAICHID (TU)

I am a full time birder and I have been birdwatching since 1991. In recent years , I have joined a team from the Bird Conservation Society of Thailand (BCST) to survey the avian species in the southern isthmus and gulf region of Thailand . I have also worked for the Hornbill Project at Budo-Sungai Padi National Park in Narathiwat Province , Southern Thailand , in 2002-2003. My latest involvement in the study of birds was the Spoon-billed Sandpiper survey and workshop held in Samut Sakhon in Thailand in December 2006.

I am a professional guide for birdwatching as well as the observation , appreciation and study of mammals in the wild. Although my base is near Bangkok , in my line of work , I travel all over the country , especially to the south.

Apart from my interest in birds , I love bicycling all around Thailand . Photography , especially nature photography is another one of my all consuming hobbies. Presently , I am a freelance bird tour leader for Nature Trail Company. I have organized successful trips for birding , animal watching , photography , bicycling and family trips throughout the whole of Thailand .

I am a birder and animal watcher. I started my birdwatching in 1998 and have participated in the team survey and workshop of Spoon-billed Sandpiper (2006), organized by BirdLife Asia . I go bird watching everyday and like to take photos of every thing.

I am a website designer by profession and I am proud to write that this website was designed by me. Like Tu , I love bicycling too. Cycling around my residential area and bird watching is almost a daily occurrence. And what do I see ? Waders , lots of them especially during their migration season and paddy field birds because my house is surrounded by rice fields.
